Doors Open; 9 Sep

This was a huge success with 700 visitors .Tours took place 11 & 12 a.m. and 2 & 3 p.m.

We had a Slide show and sound installations. Visitors could view “under the floor”,Tea was available, we saw the pottery studio and ┬áthe location of “Ice Road”, Raucous Theatre’s exciting production. Our first ever Doors Open Day.

We offered tours and displays of historic photos of interest to all ages .

Our younger visitors constructed a Fun Palace, inspired by the Baths. The entry on the website was “Hit the dance floor at this quirky arts centre. Take a tour to find out how these former public baths (fed by local springs) are used today by the local community. Look out for the decorative chimney stacks (in the Victorian Revival style) and the original pool tiles. Drop in for family activities and workshops.”
